IT'S WHAT ?
This innovative project, spearheaded by the Save the Elephants Foundation, involves building bee fences to protect African farms from elephant raids. This protects farmers from elephant incursions and, consequently, the elephants themselves from hunters. The project also aims to raise funds to equip villagers with tools for honey harvesting.

FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
Thanks to the proceeds, Artypopart will be able to support this project. Located next to Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique, with its exceptional biodiversity, the project will support struggling communities living near the park's boundary. This project, which originated at the Tsavo Elephant and Bee Research Center, will enable the construction of a series of beehive barriers that will produce honey starting in May, providing additional income for the villagers. Artypopart hopes to make a valuable contribution to this project and ensure its long-term sustainability.

HOW ?
The project originated from a groundbreaking study using a deep understanding of elephant behavior. To reduce damage caused by destructive elephants, which exploit their instinctive fear of African bees, the project explores the use of beehives as a natural elephant deterrent. This creates social and economic benefits for impoverished rural communities through pollination services and the sustainable harvesting of "elephant-loving honey."
