Dok - A Major Figure in French Graffiti
Born in 1979 , Dok is one of the pioneers of the French graffiti scene .
He began his career in the 1990s, in the midst of the hip-hop movement, tagging the walls of Paris alongside the famous Kiss and Eyeone .
He quickly joined the legendary crews UV and TPK , then considered the most radical and influential collectives in Europe , known for their audacious performances and unbridled creativity in Île-de-France.
His work is distinguished by a raw energy, an instinctive gestural style and a vibrant palette , inherited from the street but sublimated by the rigor of the studio artist.
In collaboration with ArtyPopArt , Dok transposes his urban grammar onto the organic and symbolic form of the egg , giving birth to a unique fusion between graffiti and contemporary sculpture .
Symbolism and Energy
A universal symbol of creation, transformation and infinite potential , the egg becomes, in Dok's hands, a totem of artistic rebirth .
It crystallizes the encounter between the sacred and the instinctive , between the purity of form and the vibration of gesture .
Each piece is a manifesto: the street meets the gallery , raw energy becomes light .
